Four Views on Eternal Security is unavailable, but you can change that!

Does the Bible support the concept of “once saved, always saved,” or can a person lose his or her salvation? How do the Scriptures portray the complex interplay between grace and free will? These and related questions are explored from different angles in this thought-provoking Counterpoints volume. The contributors each state their case for one of four prominent views on eternal security:...

What is more, unlike Arminians, we agree with strong Calvinists that all the elect will persevere with God’s help. Those who do not persevere were professors of salvation but are not true possessors of it, just as John indicated (1 John 2:19). Finally, we agree that the basis of eternal security is the unconditional promise of God. Unlike Arminians, who make salvation a conditional promise and, hence, dependent on human actions, we believe that salvation is an unconditional gift (Rom. 11:29).
